This Privacy Policy applies to the 4Pilots mobile application (“Application”), developed and provided by qubi / Milos Cubrilo (“Service Provider”).
4Pilots is provided as a Freemium service and is intended for use “AS IS”.
1. Overview
4Pilots is designed to respect your privacy.
The Application works fully offline and does not require the creation of a user account. We do not collect, store, or transmit personal data to our own servers.
Most information entered into the Application remains stored locally on your device. Limited technical data is processed by third-party services for advertising (free version) and crash reporting, as described in Sections 4 and 5.
2. Information We Do Not Collect
The Service Provider does not:
- Require account registration
- Collect names, email addresses, or phone numbers
- Store flight plans on external servers
- Use analytics tools
- Track user behavior
- Show personalized advertising without your consent
- Sell or share personal data
Any contact information (such as email or phone number) that you enter into the Application is stored locally on your device and is not transmitted to the Service Provider.
3. Information Stored on Your Device
The Application allows users to create and store:
- ICAO flight plans
- Aircraft profiles
- Contact details (optional fields entered by the user)
This information remains on your device unless you choose to share it (for example, by exporting and emailing a PDF).
If you uninstall the Application, locally stored data will be deleted unless preserved through your own device backup system.
4. Advertising (Free Version Only)
The free version of 4Pilots displays advertisements provided by Google AdMob. The Pro version of 4Pilots does not display advertisements.
To serve ads, Google may process limited device information (such as a device advertising identifier) for purposes like frequency capping, aggregated ad reporting, and fraud prevention. The Service Provider does not receive personally identifiable information from advertising services.
Your consent choices:
- If you are in the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom, or Switzerland, the Application shows a consent form (provided by Google) before ads are displayed. You can choose whether ads may be personalized, and you can change or withdraw your choice at any time via “Ad privacy options” in the Application settings.
- On iOS, the Application additionally asks for permission through Apple’s App Tracking Transparency prompt. If you decline, ads will not be personalized.
- If you decline personalization, you will see non-personalized (contextual) ads instead.
Google processes this information in accordance with its own Privacy Policy. We encourage users to review Google’s Privacy Policy and How Google uses information from sites or apps that use our services for additional information.
5. Crash Reporting
The Application uses Firebase Crashlytics (a Google service) to collect crash reports, so that we can find and fix defects.
If the Application crashes, a report is sent to Google containing technical information such as the device model, operating system version, the state of the Application at the time of the crash, and a randomly generated installation identifier. Crash reports do not include your flight plans, aircraft profiles, contact details, or any information that identifies you personally.
Google retains crash report data for 90 days. Crash data is processed in accordance with Google’s Privacy Policy and the Firebase privacy documentation.
6. In-App Purchases (Pro Version)
Purchases of 4Pilots Pro are processed exclusively through:
- Apple App Store
- Google Play Store
We do not process, collect, or store payment information. All billing and subscription management is handled by the respective app store provider.
7. Data Sharing and Disclosure
Beyond the third-party processing described in Sections 4 and 5, we do not sell, rent, or share user data.
We may disclose information only if required by law, such as to comply with a legal obligation or lawful request by public authorities.
8. Children’s Privacy
The Application is not directed to children under the age of 13 (or 16 where applicable under local law).
The Service Provider does not knowingly collect personal information from children.
If you believe that a child has provided personal information, please contact us so that appropriate steps can be taken.
9. Security
4Pilots is designed to minimize data collection and operate offline.
Since your flight data is not stored on external servers, exposure risk is significantly reduced.
Users are responsible for securing their own device and managing device backups.
10. Aviation Disclaimer
4Pilots is a flight planning assistance tool intended for organizational and informational purposes only.
It does not replace official aviation procedures, regulatory requirements, or operational responsibility.
Pilots remain solely responsible for verifying all flight information and complying with applicable aviation authorities and regulations.
11. Changes to This Policy
This Privacy Policy may be updated from time to time.
Any changes will be reflected by updating the effective date above. Continued use of the Application after updates constitutes acceptance of the revised policy.
12. Your Rights (EEA and Similar Jurisdictions)
Because 4Pilots collects almost no personal data, most data protection rights are exercised directly on your device (for example, by deleting locally stored data or uninstalling the Application).
You can withdraw or change your advertising consent at any time via “Ad privacy options” in the Application settings (EEA/UK/Switzerland) or your device’s tracking permission settings (iOS).
If you contact us directly and provide personal information (for example, via email), you may request access, correction, or deletion of that information.
You also have the right to lodge a complaint with your local data protection authority.
